Gold Keeps the Pressure On: Knowing they needed a regulation win, Gold kept the pressure on Orange by posting a 4-0 shutout win over Forest in the first game of the day. Goaltenders Matthew Sankner (Pennington, N.J.) and Reilly Herbst (Niwot, Col.) combined to make 29 saves in earning the shutout.

Finishing Strong: After starting the week 0-2 and allowing 14 goals in their first two games, Black came storming back to win their last three games of camp, including a 5-2 victory over White in today’s action. They allowed just six goals in their final three games and outscored opponents 13-6 in those contests. For the tournament, Black was led by a balanced attack of Shea Courtmanche (Madison, Conn.), Bryan Lockner (Windsor, Col.) and TJ Walsh (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who all posted five points on the week.

Perfection: Orange completed their perfect week on Wednesday, defeating Royal 7-3. The win clinched the National division for the team with a 5-0-0-0 record and 15 points. Orange outscored their opponents 26-10 in their five games this week. Their 26 goals were a camp-high by any team.

Leaving an Impression: Orange’s Ryan Savage (Scottsdale, Ariz.) secured the scoring crown for the tournament with a three-point (2G, 1A) performance in his team’s 7-3 victory over Royal. Savage finished with 10 points (5G, 5A) in five games. His five goals were good enough to also be the leading goal scorer for the camp, finishing tied with teammate Samuel Stevens (Hinsdale, Ill.) atop that category.

There was also a tie atop the assist category for the tournament. Gold’s Jeremy Davidson (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and Orange’s Matthew Kessel (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) both finished with six assists for the week. Kessel’s six points (OG, 6A) were also good enough to crown him as the top scoring defensemen of the tournament.

Kelly Wins American Division: Columbia’s overtime loss to Gray left Kelly and Black tied atop the American division. The teams hold identical 3-2-0-0 record and nine points each. However, because of goal differential Kelly claimed the American division crown.
